Chapter 437 of STAR Touring and Riding Association was organized in October 2007 when Lee and Nadine Lash were appointed as Area Coordinators for the new chapter.  Our goal was to start a chapter which would serve an area south of St. Louis. The new chapter would provide the benefits of STAR Touring and Riding to riders of all makes of bikes who found existing Star chapters too far away from them.  The need was quite evident when the number of prospective members grew to over 20 by the end of November.  The petition for charter was sent to STAR Touring and Riding and a date of January 19, 2008 was established to sign it.  By the end of the day we had 26 charter signing members.  The signed charter was submitted and was signed by Alan Cease, The International President of STAR Touring and Riding Association, on February 1, 2008.
